Honestly this is not a which is better question anymore. It is more about where you are right now.

A lot of brokers I have seen recently still lean on MetaTrader 4 because it works. Traders already know it onboarding is smooth and if you are focused on MetaTrader trading platform development it becomes even easier to bring users in without friction.

But things are changing quietly. With MetaTrader 5 you start noticing the difference once you think beyond forex. More asset options cleaner execution and better reporting. That shift is pushing more founders toward MetaTrader trading platform development with a long term view.

    So who actually benefits
If you are running a simple forex model MT4 keeps things easy. It fits well for early stage MetaTrader trading platform development where speed matters more than complexity.

But if you are planning to scale MT5 makes more sense. When you start thinking long term MetaTrader trading platform development requires better infrastructure and flexibility from the start.

What I am seeing now is a more practical approach. Start simple but build with direction. Do not lock yourself into short term decisions.
Because in the end it is not about MT4 vs MT5. It is about how ready your platform is for what comes next.

coinsqueens can help you structure your MetaTrader trading platform development in a way that is not just fast but built to scale.
