I drive a 2016 Honda Civic and up until last week the AC was working perfectly, nice and cold even during the afternoon heat. But now when I turn it on, the air that comes out is barely cool, definitely not cold enough to make the car comfortable, and after about ten minutes it starts to feel almost warm. I took it to a garage near my office in Al Quoz and the guy said I probably need a gas recharge and quoted me 250 dirhams for that. I agreed and he did it, but the next day the AC was still blowing warm air so that didn't fix anything. I went back and then he said maybe the compressor is failing and that would cost 2500 dirhams to replace. Now I don't trust him anymore because he guessed wrong the first time and I don't want to pay for a compressor if that's not actually the problem. I know that proper Car AC repair service in Dubai is really important especially during summer, but I also don't want to get ripped off by someone who doesn't know how to properly diagnose AC issues. So my question to all of you is this. Has anyone here had a similar problem where their car AC stopped blowing cold air and found a trustworthy garage in Dubai that actually figured out the real issue without charging a fortune? I'm not sure if it could be a leak in the system, a faulty pressure switch, or something else, and I need someone who has the right equipment to find the actual problem instead of just guessing and replacing parts. I live in Deira but I'm willing to drive anywhere in Dubai for an honest mechanic who knows AC systems well. Any recommendations would seriously save me from suffering through the summer heat. Thanks so much everyone.
